According to a new list from 24/7WallSt., of all the counties throughout the state, one stands out as being the best of the best. They broke down the stats to rank the Top 30 counties in Michigan to live.

"Using an index inspired by the HDI, 24/7 Wall St. identified the best counties in Michigan to live in. Counties are ranked on a combination of three measures – average life expectancy at birth, the share of adults with a bachelor’s degree or higher, and the poverty rate. Of the 83 counties in Michigan, we ranked the 30 with the highest HDI score", they said.

According to 24/7WallSt., Leelanau County is the best place to live in Michigan, and it’s easy to see why. Residents here enjoy an average life expectancy of 82.3 years, significantly higher than the national average. On top of that, they make an impressive average annual income of $82,345 Leenanua has a poverty rate of just 6.7% as well as an overall population of 22,000+.

Whether you’re drawn to the picturesque vineyards, the small-town charm, or the access to outdoor adventures like hiking, boating, and skiing, Leelanau County is a prime example of what makes Michigan such a desirable place to live.
