MI’s Popular Fast-Food Choice After Drinks Isn’t the Same as Flint’s
Flint's choice for late night food hasn't changed much over the years. If you ever partied at Churchill's, Celebrations (back in the day) or had a weekend bar-b-que that went way too late, you usually end up with fast food.
It turns out, the most popular go-to late night craving for the entire state of Michigan isn't the same as Flint's... at all.
What's the most popular drunken food choice in Michigan?
According to a new piece by List Wire, Michiganders choose McDonald's over everything else. No slight to McDonald's (I like a Quarter Pounder now and then), but I call BS.
22 states apparently choose Mickey D's over anything else. The next favorite drunken food in 14 states is Burger King. That's almost 75% of the country choosing burgers over anything else. Neither of those sound like Flint to me.
MI's Best Pickle Pizza is in Grand Blanc
By the way, if you've ever wondered what Michigan's Drunkest City is, we covered that last month, here.
What's Flint's go-to drunken food choice?
My money is on Taco Bell or Rally's for Flint. If you go to the Machine Shop, until recently, maybe Burger King because it was right next door. There's always a late-night appetite for those spots -- and maybe it's only because they're open late. Who knows? Halo Burger would probably be a top late-night choice, but they're not open as late as the others.
Apparently, the only state loving Taco Bell as a drunken food choice is Wyoming. That seems more like a burger & fries area to me. Our neighboring state (and football nemesis) Ohio goes for Wendy's... not buying that either. They have Waffle House all over the state and it's always packed.
Chick-Fil-A will open soon in Flint, but that won't be a late-night option. They close by 9 or 10pm.
Remember, calories consumed after 11pm don't count... at least, that's what I've heard.
