Jack Bruce, the former bassist and singer for Cream, will release a new album, ’Silver Rails,’ in March 2014. The record is his first solo effort since 2003’s ‘More Jack Than God.’

ABC News Radio reports that ‘Silver Rails,’ which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, features contributions from drummer Cindy Blackman Santana and keyboardist John Medeski, one-third of the jazz trio Medeski, Martin & Wood. Bruce, Blackman Santana and Medeski -- along with Vernon Reid of Living Colour -- recorded a jazz fusion album under the name Spectrum Road in June 2012.

You can watch a teaser video for the album, produced by Bruce’s daughter, below. The clip shows Bruce, Medeski and Blackman Santana (the wife of Carlos Santana) in the studio along with other musicians who are not named.

To promote the album, Bruce & His Big Blues Band will embark on a two-week tour of the U.K. They will perform eight dates between March 15 and March 30. Check Bruce's website for more information.
