Judge Stops Street Construction At Lansing Park

The debate over the City of Lansing master plan when it comes to its Parks and Recreation Department remains a big topic of debate between residents and Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero.

WILX.com reports that an Ingham County Judge has placed a restraining order on a project at Ormond Park, adjacent to Groesbeck Golf Course. Last week, workers began construction on a new street that would be a new entrance to Groesbeck. But, neighbors do not want to sacrifice Ormond in the process.

The restraining order reportedly gives opponents a window through July 20 to facilitate a legal strategy.
