Lansing and East Lansing Cancel Events Saturday Ahead Of Expected Weather

According to a report from WILX.com, The City of Lansing and The City of East Lansing will close public facilities and cancel all events at them Saturday, as the area braces for an expected winter storm.

In Lansing, all of its community centers will be closed for the day Saturday, and public events are all canceled. Potter Park Zoo will also be closed, which means its "Winter Gifts For Animals" is also canceled.

Meanwhile, in East Lansing, the Hannah Community Center will be closed until at least noon on Saturday. But, officials may close the facility for hours extended past midday. Youth basketball, recreation, and arts classes are all called off for the morning. The Cooking with Kids program is also canceled. Additionally, the East Lansing Public Library will be closed all day.
