Lansing Area Pets Would Love, Loving Homes

A few months our family lucked out and finally found a home we wanted to purchase. The housing market has been nuts over the past few years with limited inventory and higher prices, we took our time and landed in a home we love. The only thing missing when we moved into our home was our new family member, our dog.

I have been a supporter of the Capital Area Humane Society for decades. I inquired with the CAHS about a potential adoption and gave the staff some criteria about what we were looking for in a family dog. Our dog, Oliver, was looking for a home and he was good with kids and cats. He is now a part of our family and gets along great with the humans and the felines. I am grateful.

I have also adopted from the Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter in Mason. I had a great experience adopting from them as well.

If you are thinking about welcoming a four legged family member, please consider adopting. There are hundreds of adoptable pets in the mid Michigan area that want to live with you and your family. If you are considering adopting please take the time to discuss if this is something that is good for the whole family. Also remember that adopting a pet isn't for a fun weekend or for just a couple of weeks, it's a lifelong comittment. I wish you well in your search.
