Lansing Man Charged With Shooting and Killing Neighbor’s Dog

WILX.com reports that a Lansing man has been arraigned after admitting to police that he shot and killed his neighbor's dog.

Cory Williams is charged with a felony count of killing or torturing an animal. He has also been charged with two weapons related charges.

The incident happened Wednesday afternoon on Sommerset Drive on Lansing's south side around 4:00 PM. According to witnesses, five dogs got away from their owner's fenced in yard and were running around, posing no threat to anybody. The dogs reportedly ran into Williams' yard when he shot and killed one of them.
