Lansing Nonprofits Give Food and Clothes With Picnic in the Park

No one should ever go hungry in this world, and one of my favorite acts of charity is to help the less fortunate who are hungry or homeless. That's why I was so happy to see what some nonprofits in Lansing are doing with "Picnic in the Park."

We all need to do whatever we can to help folks less fortunate than us. WLNS reports that, "[e]very second Sunday of the month, the “Picnic in the Park” event happens at Reutter Park."

Everyone can attend, so please pass the word, and let's give clothing and feed everyone in the area who is in need on February 14th, 2021 at Reutter Park.  It's located directly west of the Capital Area District Library. What a great way to celebrate Valentines day with a loved one.

I have participated in many charity events like these over the year. It's a great feeling on the way home from one of these events knowing that you helped so many folks. Especially when it is right in our own neighborhood.

With the pandemic and COVID, it makes it even more critical to help out. I could not even imagine being hungry and homeless in the cold Michigan winter. "Picnic in the Park" is one of many ways you can help feed the hungry.
