Friday or Saturday afternoon is a great time for me to hit my favorite neighborhood pub and have a few beers or drinks. Also to unwind or maybe get a bite to eat. I have a few I enjoy like the Nuthouse in Downtown Lansing or Arts Pub.

Sometimes I like to get out of my neck of the woods and hit Front 43 or Landshark in East Lansing.  Also, enjoy heading out to the Williamston Roadhouse to watch the MSU game.

New Pub in Webberville

Well now we have a new watering hole to try, Mitchell's Pub and Grill is now open in downtown Webberville, find it at 108 W. Grand River Ave., just in time for homecoming weekend according to fox47news.com

Mitchell’s Pub and Grill has 3 proprietors Travis Nack, his cousin John and his wife, Kaitlynn.  I think I will stop by and say hello to these folks some time and check it out.

The 3 are from the Webberville area and are ready to bring some fun back into the community.

I’m from the small town of Webberville,” Nack said. “This was an excellent opportunity for us to invest some of our hard-earned savings to bring it back to the community and get people involved again and really have something to offer that everybody can come to as a small town, local watering hole.

What Kind Of Food? Let's Eat

Every Friday they have a Fish Fry, yum. Dinners feature walleye and pollock which is a local favorite.  If you are a pizza fan like me I hear they are terrific. You can also try an oven-baked sub.

There you have it, let's welcome the area's newest pub. Mitchell's pub is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. or until the last person finishes their drink. Cheers!

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
