Lies Michiganders Tell Themselves
How many times have we heard someone say, Well, if that's what you want to believe? I was reading one of those motivational books like I do a lot lately. One was by a guy who I really like his name is Wayne Dyer, and he is from Detroit. . I love this quote from one of his books "Simply have a mind that is open to everything but attached to nothing. Let it all come and go as it will. Enjoy it all, but never make your happiness or success dependent on an attachment to anything, any place, and particularly, any person" I say believe anything that makes you happy.
So, that brings to mind some of the things I have told myself and heard others say since I moved to Michigan, that sometimes turns out not to be true, or are they?
Lies Michiganders Tell Themselves
Any of these sound familiar? P.S. Don't tell anyone, I drive to Chicago a lot because the pizza is better.
Ok, I hope I did not make anyone mad, because this was all just for fun. I think we all agree Michigan is an incredible place to live, with so many great bars and restaurants. Since I moved back, I am also less likely to jump on a plane to go on vacation. Staycations are in my future, (except when I go to vegas of course). After all, there are so many destinations and vacation spots here in our own backyard. Let's take advantage of it with friends and family and have a great safe summer.
