Local Gym Closes After Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19
Alright, I hate to admit it but I'm really confused about this whole gym/fitness center thing. Earlier this week, it was reported that Governor Whitmer said that gyms couldn't open yet in Michigan. Then yesterday, the story was that Crunch Fitness on East Grand River and Powerhouse Gym on Hagadorn Road both opened up anyway. Crunch Fitness ended up getting a citation and they reportedly plan to stay open. And now this morning, WILX is reporting that Conquest Fitness in DeWitt and East Lansing are temporarily closed because an employee has tested positive for COVID-19. Here's what they posted on their Facebook page about it.
Meanwhile, Planet Fitness has made the decision to stay closed for the time being. They're expected to open back up sometime in early July. So, am I the only one that's confused? I feel like we've reached the point where we need a flow chart to keep track of what places are open and what places are closed these days.
