Lugnuts To Open Season On May 4th

The Lansing Lugnuts announced their 2021 schedule for the 25th season of existence on Thursday.

They will open at Jackson Field in Lansing against the Lake County Captains on May 4th at 7:05.  They will play 20 six-game series for a total of 120 regular season games that will stretch into mid-September with the High-A Central League playoffs set for late September and early October.

This is a decrease in regular-season games from 140 (in the old Midwest League) to 120.  Attendance for games at Jackson Field is still to be determined due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Game promotions and stadium events will be publicized soon, now that the schedule has been released.
