A magical run for the Okemos Boys' Basketball team came to an end Friday afternoon at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center, as Okemos lost their MHSAA DIvision 1 Semifinal game to University of Detroit Jesuit 63-25.

The Chiefs had trouble finding success against a bigger, faster, and deeper Cubs squad. Okemos Senior Evan Thomas finished his high school career by leading the Chiefs with 13 points and six rebounds in the loss. As a team Okemos was only able to connect on 9 of its 43 field goal attempts, while U-D Jesuit shot 55 percent from the field.

Jalen Thomas dominated the front court for the Cubs, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Jordan Montgomery had the outside shots falling, leading all scorers with 17 points.

Okemos finishes their season 23-3, which includes a perfect conference season in the CAAC Blue, a District Championship, and Regional Championship.
