Man Smashes Record for Carrying Beer Steins

The Guardian reports that 45-year-old Oliver Strümpfel carried 29 liter glasses for over 130 feet Sunday, setting a new record. Strümpfel says he's been training for the event since February and hadn't carried that many in training. He's hoping to break his own record next year.

Strümpfel started with 31 mugs, but one glass fell and another sloshed more than ten percent of its contents. The armload of brew weighed nearly 154 pounds!
