WILX.com got a little feisty in a report over the unfinished sound wall project along US-127 between Lake Lansing Road and Saginaw Street Wednesday night, calling the construction zone a ghost town.

Well, they got a response from the Michigan Department of Transportation Thursday. And, officials at MDOT say they expect the project to be done by this fall. But, as the story points out, that is a year longer than the expected 6-month project was supposed to take when it began in Spring 2016.

Reportedly, a new contractor has been tasked with completing the project. But, access to materials to finish the work remains a challenge. Get the full lowdown from WILX here.
