The Lansing State Journal is reporting that Meijer has announced plans to expand its grocery delivery service to Mid-Michigan in August. But, an outside firm is handling the shopping and delivery duties, so, it will cost home shoppers an annual fee to use the service.

According to the LSJ.com report, stores in Delta Township and South Lansing are not included in the delivery expansion. Charlotte, DeWitt, East Lansing, Grand Ledge, Okemos, and Mason stores will participate.

The outside firm Shipt will do the shopping and deliveries. Visit this link to the LSJ report for pricing details and catches.
