Fly Your Nerd Flag Proudly at a Michigan Comic Con This Year
Would you consider yourself a nerd?
Are you the type of person who marks "National Superhero Day" on your calendar? (It's April 28th, just a heads up...)
Comics, Movies, and Games
Do you have a collection of comics at home? Or tabletop games? Or horror movies?
If you can say yes to any of these questions, then you might want to take some time for a comic con.
Motor City Comic Con and Capital City Comic Con
I can't say that I've had the pleasure of going to a comic con (yet), but they look like a nerd's dream. The type of place where people of all interests and geekdoms can come together and meet other like-minded people, no matter the fandom. Plus, you can enjoy pop culture in all kinds of forms. There are artisans with boutiques, activities to take part in (like cosplay), panels, and special guests and celebrities.
I'm super stoked about the Motor City Comic Con. Actors from my favorite movie in the world, Scream, are going to be there, and I can't wait to meet them.
The Motor City Comic Con is going down in a few weeks; May 13th through 15th at the Suburban Collection Showplace. And the Capital City Comic Con is July 8th through 10th at the Lansing Center in Downtown Lansing.
The Capital City Comic Con has something awesome going on this year...
On Sunday, July 10th, on the main stage, there's going to be a marriage ceremony! Capital City Wonder Woman and Lansing Batman are going to take the stage and say, "I do".
If you've ever been to a comic con before and/or if you're planning on going to one of this year's cons, let me know! Send me a message using the "message us" feature on the free station app. I'd love to hear what your geekdom is and if you're going to cosplay.
