WILX.com reports that the Michigan Department of Transportation will suspend 89 of its 122 statewide road projects for the Memorial Day Weekend.

Beginning at 3:00 PM Friday and lasting through 6:00 AM Tuesday morning, most of the lane restrictions across Michigan will cease for holiday travelers. However, there will still be some speed restrictions, lane shifts, and shoulder closures in place.

Those traveling north will see no freeway lane closures on I-75 and U.S.-127. One project on U.S. 131 will see a lane shift in Kent County between 10 and 14 Mile Roads. And, I-96 Eastbound will remain closed to traffic between Alpine and Plainfield Avenues near Grand Rapids.
