WILX.com reports that state health officials are urging Michigan residents to get vaccinated for measles as 15 cases have been confirmed this year.

According to the report, this is the worst measles outbreak since 1994. 26 cases were reported then. Just this week, two people from Oakland County arrived on a flight at Detroit Metro Airport with the disease.

Early symptoms of measles include high fever, runny nose, red eyes, light sensitivity and rashes on the body. Measles is considered highly contagious.
