Listen up Michigan! If you love to fish for salmon and want to give back to the VFW, this weekend is your chance to do it! It's the First Annual Salmon Competition to benefit Lyons-Muir Post 4646 in Ionia County.

What is the VFW?

My family has proudly served in the military for the United States for generations. My uncle is active with the V.F.W. where he lives.

Their Mission:

To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans.

Their Vision:

Ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.

To accomplish their mission and their vision it takes other great Americans that can help.
