Michigan Made Buzzfeed’s List of Underrated Travel Destinations for 2023

Michigan is a fun place to live and offers so many different options for things to do. Michigan gets the shaft sometimes when it comes to travel. As it turns out a location in Michigan made Buzzfeed's: Ultimate List Of Underrated Travel Destinations: 42 Must-Visits For 2023.

Every year my family and I travel throughout our state to explore new places and find unique experiences. We've been frequenting the U.P. the past few years and have fallen in love with it and have fallen in love with Marquette. Once you get north of Clare, MI everything feels better.

Buzzfeed actually did the research themselves and as luck would have it, a location in Michigan was listed in the Top 10 Underrated Travel Destinations. That's not too shabby considering 42 were listed. Well done Michigan, representing once again.

Underrated Travel Destination

Coming in at #7 of underrated travel destinations was none other than Lake Kitch-iti-kipi in the U.P. First of all, the U.P. is the ultimate source of serenity. Combine that with the beautiful scenery and you're in for a good time. Buzzfeed says:

If you've never been to Lake Kitch-iti-kipi, hop in the car and take the short 4 hour and 49 minute drive to visit this tranquil spot that most definitely is underrated.

Enjoy your visit to the U.P. and grab yourself some smoked whitefish and some pasty's.
