Get ready for quick weather changes in Mid-Michigan this weekend. According to MLive.com, snow is quickly approaching the region this evening. According to the accompanied graphics in the MLive story, the Lansing Area is expecting around four inches of new snow Friday night into early Saturday.

Once the snow stops Saturday, temperatures, according to the National Weather Service, should top out in the lower 30's, possibly allowing for a brief period above freezing. But, warmer temperatures are short lived with cold, sub-zero temperatures approaching by Sunday night. The arctic blast will keep Monday's temps in the lower teens, with wind chills throughout the day 10-15 degrees below zero.

If we hang on long enough for mid-week, a warming trend begins. Temperatures are forecast to be near and above freezing beginning Wednesday and warming through the first part of the holiday weekend.
