Michigan State senior-to-be linebacker Quavaris Crouch has entered the transfer portal for the second straight year, MSU football announced on Friday morning.

Crouch, who came to MSU from the University of Tennessee, joins running back Donovan Eaglin and defensive back Antoine Booth as Spartan players in the transfer portal since the end of spring practice on April 16th.

Crouch played in ten games for the Spartans this past season.  He was the team's fifth-leading tackler with 75 stops.  He had two sacks, a forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Quavaris missed three of the last four games of the season due to a knee injury and didn't play in the spring practice/scrimmage back on April 16th.

Because he is transferring for the second time, he will have to sit out a year before playing his final year of eligibility.  He could still return to Michigan State to play his last year, as fellow Spartans Ben Van Sumeren and Ma'a Gaoteote entered the portal right after the season ended, but withdrew and will return to MSU this coming season.

Players have until Sunday to enter their name into the transfer portal.  That's the deadline so players can become immediately eligible for next season.

The reason for Crouch entering the portal is the fact that MSU has two transfer linebackers coming in for the 2022 season.  They are Aaron Brule, formerly of Mississippi State.  And Jacoby Windmon, formerly of UNLV.  Returning prominent players at linebacker included freshman All-American Cal Haladay, who was the team leader in tackles last season with 96.
