MSU Up To 8th In Latest AP CBB Poll

After thrashing arch-rival Michigan 87-68 at the Breslin Center on Sunday, the 12-3 Michigan State men's basketball team moved up to 8th in the latest Associated Press media poll, released on Monday afternoon.

Gonzaga remains at number 1 with Duke and Kansas following at 2 and 3.  The last two unbeatens in the nation, 13-0 Auburn and 15-0 San Diego State are rated 5th and 7th, respectively.

Other Big Ten teams ranked this week are Ohio State at No. 11, Maryland at #12, Michigan at No. 19, and 12-2 Penn State at 20th.

The Spartans are 4-0 in Big Ten play and will host Minnesota on Thursday night in East Lansing.  It's a 9:00 tip-off at the Breslin Center.
