No More Hard Liquor At MSU’s Greek Houses

Hard alcohol is no longer allowed at fraternities and sororities on Michigan State University's campus.

According to The State News, "all hard alcohol has been banned" from Greek Houses as of October 10th, 2018. This means that any drink "above 15 percent alcohol by volume" is no longer allowed to be served at Greek chapters at MSU. The only exception is if the hard alcohol "is served by a licensed third-party vendor".

The Michigan State University Interfraternity Council unanimously voted to begin the ban this year. But, it would have started anyway by next year; the North American IFC decided to get rid of hard alcohol in its chapters by September of 2019.
