Oakland University Senior Guard and Okemos High School graduate Travis Bader set the NCAA Division 1 3-point shooting record Sunday against UW-Milwaukee. Bader came into Sunday's game with 455 career three-point buckets, two shy of Duke's J.J Redick record 457 set in 2006. Bader finished the game with 21 points on 5 of 7 shooting from behind the arc. His new record stands at 461 three-pointers made. With seven regular season games left, plus whatever games the Grizzlies play in the Horizon League Tournament, that number is sure to grow even bigger. Oakland (9-15) hosts Sexton grad Bryn Forbes and Cleveland State (15-9) Thursday at Oakland's O-Rena.I've been a fan of our local high school sports my entire life. Many of you know that I have done some play-by-play broadcasting for local football and basketball games over the past 12 years. In that time, I have seen some great games featuring great local players. I've beaten the drum to encourage Mid-Michiganders to get out and see some of this unbelieveable talent our area has produced over the years. Currently, there are 9 locals playing Division 1 Basketball around the country. Here's a look at who, and what they're up to...
