The Lansing State Journal reports that the Jonathon Wehrle, the priest who founded St. Martha Parish in Okemos, may have stolen nearly $2 million from the coffers.

The Rev Wehrle was arrested Saturday in his 11,345 square foot Williamston home, situated on 10 acres with three barns. He was charged Monday with embezzling over $100,000.00 from the church, but indications are that the amount was a lot more than that.
