A woman out of Battle Creek, who is the oldest living person in Michigan, celebrated her 114th birthday on Tuesday.

Ellen Goodwill was recognized with a plaque by the state of Michigan, which was sent to her assisted living center in Battle Creek.

Back in May of 2020, Ellen was named the oldest known resident in the state, following Irene Dutton was 113 at the time of her death.

Born on February 2nd, 1907, Goodwill moved to Michigan after World War II with her husband. At the time of her birth, Teddy Roosevelt was President of the United States, according to WMMT.
