Summer is the time for outdoor concerts. County fairs and festivals bring acts on tour across America. But there once was a time of massive rock & roll events like the Atlanta International Pop Festival and the Toledo Speedway Jam. Iconic Michigan rockers like Grand Funk Railroad, Ted Nugent and Bob Seger, cut there teeth on outdoor festivals. It was an easy way to reach thousands of people and introduce them to their music and hone their skills for what would later be arena shows and live albums like 'Live Bullet', that would propel them to national acclaim!

Today, the events like these seem to be few and far between. Albums have given way to MP3's and live albums seem to be a thing of the past. So if you would, share with us some memories of some festival shows you have attended and when they were (if you can remember). Post them to our Facebook page here: facebook.com/94.9WMMQ
