Do we have to get the chant going: "Keep Your Damn Hands Off My Beer!".  You may or may not know that last week that the National Forest Service announced that alcohol will be prohibited on Michigan rivers within the Huron-Manistee National Forests.  The rivers in question are AuSable, Manistee and Pine.  Granted, that's only 3 rivers and none around here but the point is if they start banning booze on these somebody with a cause or an ax to grind will propose we ban alcohol on all Michigan rivers. And maybe it doesn't stop there.  Next could be inland lakes.  How am I supposed to float on a tube without a beer???

A look at clickondetroit.com has the details and also the response by many to stop the ban on this prohibition.  A group started a change.org petition started and already has 33,000 signatures.  The petition calls for a reversal of the announced rule and punishment claiming the ban will hurt local economies.  If you want to sign the petition click HERE.  And if you want more of the story click HERE.
