Memorial Day Weekend kicks off another season of pirate cruises with The Good Fortune in Munising.

According to the story from M-Live,  the ship known as The Good Fortune made the trip from St. Ignace up through the Soo Locks to Munising on Lake Superior.   The ship spends the winter months in the Straits area.

This will be another summer for Munising pirate cruises, which allow guests to ride a pirate ship around Munising bay and Grand Island in the Upper Peninsula.

There are two different cruises offered.   A family adventure cruise and adult sunset cruise.

The family cruise is a cruise in Munising Bay.  You will see the East Channel Lighthouse and cruise around the South side of Grand Island and see the Bermuda Shipwreck.

The adult cruise is around the West side of Grand Island for the sunset. It is a 21 and over cruise as beer and wine will be available for purchase along with soft drinks and snacks.  There will also be music provided for dancing.

The family cruises will begin this weekend with select dates before the full schedule begins on June 21st.
