Since David Letterman announced his 2015 retirement from The Late Show Thursday, there have been numerous names tossed around cyberspace as potential replacements. Names have included current Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson. (likely not a contender as his show has been losing ratings to NBC's Late Night With Seth Meyers since Meyers took over in February.) Chelsea Handler, who has expressed a want to leave her current show Chelsea Lately, has also been mentioned by some, along with Drew Carey, Jon Stewart, and even Letterman's long time professional rival, Jay Leno. One report has surfaced today naming Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert as the early front runner.
