Congratulations are in order for the Potter Park Zoo here in Lansing and their otters. Over the weekend, according to MLive.com, two otters were born there - each weighing about a quarter pound (McDonald's - I don't know about you, but I see marketing opportunity written all over this)

The otter parents, Nkeke and Miles, welcomed the two new North American river otters on Sunday. According to Cynthia Wagner, the Potter Park Zoo director, “It has been an eventful winter at Potter Park Zoo with the birth of Jaali, an eastern black rhino, and now two North American river otters". The birth of Jaali, on Christmas Eve, was a HUGE deal given that only about two black rhinos a year are born in zoos.
