Not to be outdone, Celts and Vikings alike will "Pillage the Village" in Vassar this weekend (July 16-17). Mid-Michigan's Enchanted Forest, not far from Frankenmuth, offers dozens of period entertainers, food, and lots of pirate games. Don't miss the rat-a-pult!


Alligators? In Marshall?? Yep. You'll encounter them and more at the Market on Main Block Party in downtown Marshall this Saturday, July 16. The all-day event features shopping, live entertainment, a cornhole tournament, pizza and taco eating contests, and a beer chugging contest too.

The 6th Annual Battle Creek Caribbean Festival is happening late Saturday afternoon and into the evening (July 16) at Festival Market Square. Enjoy live reggae music, Caribbean craft vendors, authentic food and drink from the islands and more!


The Czech and Slovak Ethnic Festival is happening at the Sokol Cultural Center in Dearborn Heights both Saturday and Sunday (July 16-17). This event will feature imported beer and spirits, authentic cuisine and plenty of polka!


The 48th Annual Richland Art Fair takes place Saturday, July 16, at Gull Meadow Farms in Richland. This juried art show promises to "feature a variety of fine artwork and original handcrafts."

The Eaton County Fair is underway now in Charlotte and continues through Saturday, July 16. Highlights to round out this year's fair include Truck & Tractor Pulls on Thursday and Friday evenings, an Antique & Farm Stock Tractor Pull on Saturday, and a Street Diesel & Semi Pull Saturday night.
