ROADSIDE MICHIGAN: ‘Little Mac’ Bridge, Manistee River

Michigan is proud of the Mackinac Bridge.

SO proud, in fact, that you can find many replicated Mac bridges throughout our state.

This particular one is part of the 11-mile Manistee River Trail. It's referred to as "Little Mac", "Mini-Mac" or just plain "Suspension Bridge".

This footbridge is 245 feet long and has been around since 1996. It claims to be the largest wooden suspension bridge in the Lower Peninsula.

Take a drive up, hike the trail, and take a walk across the bridge sometime this year. It's just off Upper River Road, almost on the borders of Manistee & Wexford Counties.
