Saranac Family Mourning Son’s Death Receives Gift From Jim Harbaugh
According to The Detroit Free Press, the family of Michigan Football Coach Jim Harbaugh lent a gift of comfort to a local family mourning the loss of their son.
Skylar Lasby, a seventh grader from Saranac, collapsed on a football practice field and later died due to a heart condition. Memorial services for Skylar were held last week. It was there that Coach Harbaugh's father Jack, a former coach, presented the family with a personalized Michigan jersey with Skylar's name embroidered onto it, along with a football signed by the Michigan coach.
According to the report, Skylar's father Scott said that the Harbaugh Family and the entire Michigan team sent their condolences to the Lasby family. Jack Harbaugh spoke to the Saranac football players after the service.
