Severe Weather Threat Increased For Mid-Michigan Tuesday
Tuesday afternoon's forecast may bring the threat of severe weather to the Mid-Michigan region.
An update Monday afternoon from the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has increased the bureau's confidence in severe storms tomorrow from low to medium. A wider swath of the region is also in the prediction area, with earlier graphics from Monday morning showing the threat of severe weather mainly in southeast Michigan.
So, what exactly are forecasters calling for Tuesday? The main threat will be heavy rain and damaging winds. But, localized flooding and isolated tornadoes are possible, too. Storms are expected to impact the area as a cold front moves across Michigan late Tuesday afternoon and evening.
