We look back on another day in Rock 'n' Roll History tonight. Today marks the 45th anniversary of the release of The Beatles "final" studio album Abbey Road. (Though released later, in 1970, Let It Be was already recorded before Abbey Road.) The band had had their struggles over the 12 months leading up to the Abbey Road sessions. John Lennon and Paul McCartney weren't seeing eye to eye artistically. Ringo and George were ready to break free of their shadows. But, what was released this day, four and a half decades ago, would go down as one of the greatest albums ever.

Tonight, we'll do three from the iconic thematic LP for your Six O'Clock Triple Shot. Tune in for "Octopus' Garden", "I Want You (She's So Heavy)", and "Here Comes The Sun", only on 94.9 WMMQ!
