(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

Yesterday, the NFL invaded England once again, as the Miami Dolphins whipped the Oakland Raiders 38-14. Your Detroit Lions will be in London later this season, playing the Atlanta Falcons on October 26. The NFL has been making a push to brand itself internationally over recent years, and have keyed in on London's Wembley Stadium. Wembley has been renowned as, not only a soccer mecca, but a destination venue for rock stars. The NFL decided to pull all punches, and made sure that the off-field entertainment was just as strong as the game itself. So, they tapped British metal legends Def Leppard for a three song set yesterday. Their current rhythm/lead guitarist Vivian Campbell is undergoing another round of cancer treatment, and was not a part of the fun yesterday, being replaced by Trixter's Steve Brown. Here's a link to the video of their set.

Tonight, we'll do three from Def Leppard for the Six O'Clock Triple Shot. Tune in for "Rock Of Ages", "Rock! Rock! ('Til You Drop)", and "Let's Get Rocked"...three "rockers"...only on 94.9 WMMQ!
