To say I am not the "Florida type", would be an understatement. You will never see pictures of me flaunting my pale skin on the beaches of some southern state. That being said, I did decide to take a spring break drive of my own.

Thursday brought a much needed solo drive to Sleepy Hollow State Park in the Laingsburg, MI area. It was more of a need to see if the ice had melted off of the lake yet.

The trip also brought a loon sighting and a raft of diver ducks that were a bit too far off to identify. Long story short, I was able to get a full week's worth of relaxation in just a couple of hours.
