WILX.com reports that Michigan State Police troopers are taking part in a multi-state effort to reduce accidents involving commercial vehicles along the I-94 corridor.

The effort, nicknamed "Eyes On 94", will take place next week from Monday, December 9 to Friday, December 13. Motor carrier officers from Michigan State Police, Indiana State Police, Illinois State Police, and Ohio State Highway Patrol are all participating in the operation.

Drivers can expect to see an increased presence, not only along I-94, but other major freeways in the four state area. Motor carrier officers will be looking for commercial drivers guilty of distracted driving, tailgating, speeding, and the abundant improper passing and lane usage by commercial vehicles frequently seen on I-94.
