I would have never guessed in a MILLION years Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler would have more home runs, at this point in the season, than Prince Fielder. Fielder was in shape, coming into the season focused. Kinsler was sent away from Texas with something to prove. There is NO WAY Kinsler will end the season with more home runs than Prince. We don't need him to. Kinsler is hitting .313 with 4 home runs, 20 RBI and 6 steals. Prince has played in the same amount of games, hitting .247 with 3 home runs, 16 RBI and you guessed it 0 stolen bases. Can you guess who the Tigers are playing today and this weekend? The Texas Rangers. Prince may not be available though. He was scratched from the lineup Wednesday and will not travel to Detroit with the team. He had this to say: "I don't give a f-- about the Detroit series," Fielder told reporters Tuesday. "I just want to get back." He had a 547 consecutive games streak before receiving an injection Saturday to alleviate pain from a herniated disc in his neck. Tiger fans had the same pain in their neck watching Prince half ass it through the playoffs for 2 years with Detroit. I expect his return to be filled with boo birds. I don't expect him to take the field this weekend. Tiger fans should turn the other cheek and show Prince some class. But I think we all know what will happen.
