These photos are courtesy of Outdoor Exposure by Denise, a 'serious-amateur' photographer who happens to live right in the middle of the fires that ravaged not only Kansas, but Oklahoma, Colorado and Texas. She gave me permission to share her photos so that we could see a small part of the wildfires that ravaged over a million acres, an epic disaster that we've not heard a lot about in most media.

Kayla Marie, who was part of the Michigan Convoy of truckers who delivered much needed supplies to the ranchers this week, said this:

Seeing that land broke us, seeing their ranches tore us but seeing them smile and laugh made this trip worth it. Us Michigan Convoy thumb effort are headed home, still feeling like we need to do more for these people.

 

Maybe some of our government agencies can step in and help, too.
