Lansing-based non-profit Keys To Creativity has announced a series of fundraising events paying tribute to the 50th Anniversary of the "Summer Of Love", 1967. Keys To Creativity Community Projects is an all volunteer effort to support art classes and free events locally for children and disabled neighbors and to support local artists in many fields.

They're looking to attract many in the community with their events, including a Classic Car Show featuring live music, raffles, and more free of charge. A VIP tent serving food and drinks will be open as well with a $5 admission. This is taking place at Lansing Mall, in the northwest parking lot, near Tequila Cowboy this Saturday. Classic car owners will be filling the lot all afternoon. Music and VIP tent opens at 5:00 PM.

This is also your first chance to pick up on WMMQ Birthday Bash tickets while they last, starting at 4:30 PM!!

Many more events are taking place, including a series of concerts at local bars and taverns featuring tribute bands from the "Summer Of Love". That series begins June 9 at The Green Door Lounge on Michigan Avenue. Get a full list of events, bands in the series, venues, and dates by clicking this link to the Summer Of Love website.
