Taco Bell’s ‘Steal A Base, Steal A Taco’ Back for World Series

Although sports in general, especially the World Series, will look different this year one thing will stay the same thanks to Taco Bell. The fast food chain announced  the return of their steal a base steal the taco promotion the World Series 2020.

The big promotion returns with a little extra something for fans and taco lovers. As a first this year Taco Bell fans can score their free taco within hours after the first base is stolen in the World Series. Fans will use a code on the Taco Bell app and to have their own unique redemption period. 

“Through a season and a year like no other, we are proud to bring back a promotion that fans can always count on and are thrilled to partner with the league again to provide free tacos for all of America – no matter what team you root for,” said Nikki Lawson, Taco Bell’s Chief Global Brand Officer. 

Taco Bell is even taking it up a notch and partnering with BetMGM for some added high stakes fun. For the second year in a row, the Taco Hero experience will have two exclusive prop bets for BetMGM app users. Fans can wager with real money on which player they think will steal the first base of the World Series and also which inning the first stolen base will occur.

The MLB seems to love the promotion saying, “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco has become a tradition tied to the World Series and we’re thrilled to partner with Taco Bell to bring baseball fans even more to look forward to through this extraordinary postseason,” said Noah Garden, MLB Chief Revenue Officer.

The 2020 World Series begins Tuesday night, October 20, live on FOX.
