Congratulations to McKenna Dillivan, a senior on the Dansville girls soccer team.  She's the Meijer/WMMQ High School Athlete of the Week. McKenna is off to a great start this season.  She's scored six goals in the team's first three games, while leading her Aggies squad to a 3-0 record on the young season...

Congratulations to Everett junior Jamyrin Jackson.  He's the Meijer/WMMQ High School Athlete of the Week. Jamyrin was a key cog in the Vikings run to the Class A semifinals this season.  And he had a big final week. Jamyrin had 20 points in the team's quarterfinal win over defending state champion Muskegon at Eastern's Don Johnson Fieldhouse...

Congratulations to Makenna Ott.  A senior on the Haslett girls basketball team.  She's the Meijer/WMMQ High School Athlete of the Week. Makenna led the Lady Vikings to a Class B runner-up finish last week at the Breslin Center.  She had 18 points and 6 rebounds in their semifinal win over Benton Harbor...

Congratulations to Jaedin Sklapsky, a senior on the Eaton Rapids wrestling team.  He's the Meijer/WMMQ High School Athlete of the Week. Jaedin won the Division 2 135 lb. state championship last weekend at the Palace of Auburn Hills.  He ended his senior season at 60-2 and for his career won a school record 202 matches...

Congratulations to Jaymie Smith, a sophomore on the Morrice girls basketball team.  She's the Meijer/WMMQ High School Athlete of the Week. Jaymie led her Orioles squad to a Class D district championship this week over Lansing Christian 41-27...

Congratulations to Lane McVickar, a junior on the Eaton Rapids wrestling team.  He's the Meijer/WMMQ H.S. Athlete of the Week. Lane is 46-1 this season at the 145 lb. weight class.  He is the Division 2 District and Regional Champion, and has qualified for next week's Individual State Finals at the Palace of Auburn Hills...

Dylan Patton, a 6-7 center, led the Blackhawks with 15 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots in their 45-35 win over league rival Stockbridge this week.

Congratulations to Dresden Simon, a junior on the Dansville wrestling team.  He's the Meijer/WMMQ H.S. Athlete of the Week. Dresden is undefeated this season at the 130 lb. weight class at 45-0.  He's ranked #1 in Division 4, and is leading the Aggies in the hunt for a district title this week, Dresden was the state runner-up last year and placed 3rd in the state at his weight class as a freshman
