The Detroit Pistons

As of this writing (the afternoon of December 29), the Winged Wheelers are 16-15-4 and have fallen three points out of the last Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

Make it 25 straight losses for the once-proud franchise, as they lost to the 11-18 Utah Jazz on Thursday night, 119-111, at a vocal Little Caesars Arena.

Things were bad enough for Detroit pro sports, where the four teams are on a combined 25-season playoff drought. Then the last-place Pistons lost the lottery for Victor Wembanyama, instead falling all the way to the fifth pick.

This is only an opinion, but I've based my choices on facts.

All of the professional teams are on the rise for the coming years in Motown.
