Tammy’s In Laingsburg Is Small Town, Home Cookin
Laingsburg is a small town not too far from Lansing. I have grown very familiar with Laingsburg over the past four years because my son goes to school there. Gotta tell ya, Laingsburg has that small town, community feel that you just don't get in cities like Lansing, East Lansing or Okemos.
My weekend was packed with youth basketball games in the "burg" and it was also my mother in law's birthday on Sunday, February 12th. We wanted to take grandma out for breakfast and I've heard about Tammy's Bakery and Cafe, 232 E Grand River Rd, Laingsburg, MI 48848. The reviews I have read and the many people that referred Tammy's as a great place to eat, didn't do it justice.
The staff was absolutely small town knit. The young women that served, bussed tables and worked the cashier's stand were in high school. I talked to one young lady who said, "she loves working for Tammy because it's a great business and she has fun". That was the vibe I got when I entered the cafe. Tammy the owner makes a point to stop and say hello to each and every customer too.
Tammy has been doing this for a long time and the demand for her food is intense in Laingsburg and her restaurant is now a location I plan on frequenting more. They serve amazing baked goods and they have top notch meals too.
Tammy is the life of the party and cares about each and every morsel of goodness that you put in your mouth. She also likes getting pictures with customers as you see below.
When it comes to the breakfasts, the corned beef hash and eggs is righteous! The cinnamon toast is mind blowing, the club sandwich was thumbs up and Tammy's cinammon roles are, according to my son, "the best on the planet".
Let your eyes do some feasting and don't forget to get your paczki's.
The pies look awesome.
Cookies and cinammon roles, the cinammon roles are killer.
Get your packzki's!
Look at the size of the donut holes!
My mother in law enjoyed her birthday breakfast and will make the trip back to see the good folks at Tammy's Bakery & Cafe in Laingsburg. We had 5 people in our party and a result of ten thumbs up.
