In an announcement on Social Media, the former Michigan QB stated that his 'place is still on the field':

These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now.
I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible.
I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished buisness.

As far as the 'unfinished business' is concerned, it seems that the future Hall-Of-Famer is looking to add another Super Bowl ring to his collection. If Tampa Bay is able to win another Super Bowl with Brady at the helm, it would be his 8th championship.
