Toxic Comments Sections Being Removed by Websites

A week ago, it was the Philadelphia Inquirer posting a story explaining why they were removing the comments section.

A few days ago, I saw one of my favorite websites bridgemi.com do the same. 

They are removing the comments section because keyboard warrior trolls!

They are everywhere and they never really have anything good to say. They didn't have a momma that loved them. Or explained to them "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all."

The trolls are homophobic, racist, generally have tiny penises and have never been able to sexually pleasure a member of the opposite sex. They spend a lot of their time on the internet, repeating the insults people have hurled at them. Making hateful comments to people, women and spewing how they really feel about themselves, at others.

Look, we love it when people alert us to our errors. Just so you know, I am a Classic Rock DJ. Not a Pulitzer Prize winning grammar machine. I love it when people go about correcting a mistake the right way. Not just by attacking the author and spewing your pent up rage at them.

We clearly have a desensitized society right now. A lot of it has to do with the pandemic and people having too much time on their hands. A lot of it has to do with drug addiction and unresolved daddy issues.

I call it misplaced rage. You allow yourself to get so mad about things, then you see one thing, snap and lose it.
